MorpherSize Me!

Hilarious.jpg
(A Lady and a Gentleman Fused… Richard D. James-esque!)

Okay, if you’ve ever had a girlfriend that you’d love to have children with, because she’s just THAT type of lady - but you worry about what your kids would turn out looking like… here’s a nice site that can either confirm your worst fears of having the only ugly baby in the neighborhood (that you actually pay attention to), or you can sleep with a fabulous amount of ease. Any way it goes, if you have a beard, your kid is going to turn out heinous, according to Morphthing results. No hard feelings.

Custom Bubble Mailers

Bubble Mailer.jpg

Bubble mailers are the manilla envelopes used to shop photos and other semi-sensitive materials (see above picture). This instructional can teach you how to make your own sweet bubble mailers that you can customize using stationary or anything else your creative little brain allows. Just don’t use them to cushion mail bombs. Those are soooo 1995.

Lightbulb Sea Monkey Condo

Sea Monkeys.jpg

If you hollow out an old lightbulb - okay maybe not old, they get too frosted and foggy - you can make a ton of things! The latest, coolest, hippest thing with the kids is to make a condo for Sea Monkeys out of it. Simply hollow one out, slap in the sea monkey kit (easier said than done, there are formulas and kits with several different chemicals involved), and there you have it, a lightbulb Sea Monkey condo!

Spotbit.com offers a variety of awesome manuals and zines. From how to get rich, to Artzmania, an awesome indie art ‘zine based out of Malaysia (yet somehow in English!). Kitschy Animations

MiniVid.bmp

This site is useful, it has a somewhat college/vintage/kitschy feel to it, and it allows the user to create their own animations using icons from yesteryear and little cartoons. Background music, recording, and saving are all encouraged here. Make Captain Picard say something funny to a dinosaur with an industrial rainbow background while Verdi’s ambience sets the tone. Anything you want, you got it*. LOLcats, too.

 *excuse the bad grammar.

Learn to Solder

Soldering.jpg

Here’s a fabulous instructable that can teach all you noobs (affectionate) how to solder. If you’ve seen someone solder and you’re not familiar with it, it seems freaky and dangerous - and because of the scale of the soldering iron vs. the solder; very delicate. However, it’s relatively easy, and basically anyone with 10 fingers and hand-eye coordination can master it!

Free Printable Origami Robot

Free Robots.jpg

Print these cute little robot guys, and apparently they’ll love you more unconditionally than your children!

“Fold and glue him together so you two can begin to enjoy quality time together. He is a huge fan of electronic music, especially glitchy techno and algorithmic minimal 3.1415-step. Sometimes he might seem more interested in his playlist than you, but don’t take it personally–he is infinitely more happy in your presence than being alone by himself. He also enjoys the nostalgic comfort of basking in the electrostatic field of CRT computer monitors.”

Crazy.

Aluminum Flash Drive

Well, even though these are probably sold in stores, and everywhere else around the ‘net, you can still have more fun DIY-ing this case for a USB flash drive, made of METAL ( \m/, for those of you who are afficionados). Admire how valiant your flash drive is with its shiny armor!
