Simple, funny, and easy, you can make any person look like a ghost on film! All you need is a sheet, a human capable of jumping off the ground (perhaps a dancer to enhance the effect), and a camera. Have the human capable of leaping and/or hopping put the sheet on, perform their “magic jumping routine” (aka jumping off the ground) and voila: A ghost! If taken in the right light and with a scary sheet, one could make a killing off freaky ebay ghosthunters. High five!

So the DIY network hasn’t disappeared off the face of the planet, we were just waiting for them to do an episode about something really cool and applicable to anyone. On the Witch Crafts series they came up with Ghoulish Gourds, which are really cool looking and kind of Tim Burton-y. The second item in the article are tombstones, which are just something you can easily make as a lawn decoration. They’re surprisingly little work and customizable so you can discreetly put your boss or ex’s name on it. Muahaha.

Using a pumpkin as a circuit board, this gent made a cute little LED face on a pumpkin with a few electronic components and a 9v battery. This project is pretty simple, and if you have kids (or are a kid at heart) you can totally try this out for Halloween. Just remember though, if you want to keep this, make sure it’s inside a window on display - not out on your porch. One year I made Halloween Barbies (just Barbies with modded hair and outfits) and tangled them in a web in the bushes next to the place I was living - and within the hour they were gone. I really tangled them so they were firmly embedded (webbing wrapped around each leg and everything), but someone had the mental fortitude and agility to steal them - in between trick or treaters ringing at my doorbell.
Okay, so this instructable has a few errors. Like… they spell nun chucks “num-chucks”. So nobody’s perfect - that said, they also made them a little short, but you get the idea. They’re nun chucks, they’re k*nex, and someone put themselves out there and got back some nasty reviews. So let’s make him feel better and constructively comment his instructable - making some sweet “num-chucks” in the process. Halloween ninjas, here you come!
This font is adorably eerie. It also has a kitschy cute name. Mark Conahan developed this Skullphabet and apparently it can be downloaded in True Type or Open Type format, which is cool (probably). It’s totally free and everyone can get a kick out of doing their whatever-committee lecture notes in this awesome font for the next presentation they have at a meeting. Hardy har har.

This cloud lamp can be converted with a few simple googly eyes, into a creepy Halloween lamp. The actual construction only involves soap and water (and lamp construction material, such as PVC and wire). This is a very simple project, and the results can keep you entertained for hours. If there are mind-altering substances involved, you could stretch that to days, but we don’t recommend drug use under any circumstance. Booooo, drugs. Loooove, lamp.
