Almost-Authentic Medieval Leather Shoes

Have you ever felt like your shoes should be an anachronism, as a statement to the poor, sweatshop children in Somalia and Thailand who slave over hot leather sneakers for five cents a week to feed the other kids in their family? Okay, maybe not, but protesting slave wages is always more fun when the 1700s are involved! These badass leather shoes, a tribute to the 18th century, should prove a long and arduous journey, but they can kick ass in the end. Literally. Not only can you stomp your enemy combatant’s face and look cooler, you can also drive a horse carriage properly, AND be a medieval reenactor. You may even be able to wield a sword bigger than your little sister, and vanquish thine enemies, or something. Don’t even walk down to Ye Olde Shoppe, just make some from scratch!

Is there a how-to attached to this? I think it’d be pretty rad to go out on the town, have someone ask where you got your shoes, and you say “Oh, these? I made them last weekend.”
Ack, sorry! I posted the link to the picture of the shoe instead of the how-to! Thanks for catching that, automator!
