Homemade thermometer
Make a thermometer and calibrate it using random measurements, then create your own numbers. Then, according to Instructables user Kiteman, Give your scale a name, then take delight in confusing your friends when the conversation inevitably drifts round to the weather; “Boy, it’s hot today!”
