Magnetic Spice Rack

    FYI, herbs and spices should never be stored close to the stove. The light, heat and humidity will cause them to spoil quicker. They should be kept on a cool, dark place with normal humidity.

    Yeah, that’s what I would pipe up with as well. On the other hand, perhaps having them right in their face will inspire some chefs to actually use what they’ve got, thus avoiding a long slow decomposition of their stock in a cool, dark place with normal humdity?

    Yeah, that gap right below the panel with the spices on it is the
    vent from the oven. It gets *real* hot right there.

    Sticking them on the refrigerator door would be better, but then
    there’s the “oops, I can’t use the cinnamon right now because it’s
    holding up the photo of baby Julius” problem.

    Great Idea using watch Maker’s Cases! I plan on using them in a drawer. I got the idea from Alton Brown on the food network channel. They are low enough to see and easy to get too. Plus, no gluing mangets.
