Make Your Own Shoes

Examples Ex10Mary Wales Loomis shares with us her own self-taught method of making your own shoes. The best part of this is that the shoes start out from a mold made of your most comfortable shoes, or even your own feet. These things probably won’t make you run faster or jump higher, but you can choose your own fabric and friends are sure to haggle you about making them some of these sweet kicks too. Mary also sells a book with more detailed instructions and designs.

    Hi,

Just like Denise I would also like to know if there is a more updated version on how to make shoes. Where can I find a book or more information that can help me make my own pumps, sandals, boots etc.?

Hope to hear from you soon. Thank you.

    Hi,

Just like the people before me, I’d like to know how to make shoes. I’ve look online, asked people, and even went to craft stores. But i’ve found nothing. Is it expensive to make shoes? Also, where can I find new and updated information on how to make shoes, preferably flats?

    Hoping to recieve a reply,

    Mary.
    :)

I suggest the movie Kinky Boots. It’s not rated R, I promise. Other than that, our other post, about Renaissance shoe-making, can be found here:

I don’t know, to me its too much work to make your own shoes just so they are comfortable. There are tons of great comfortable shoes for women that still look good. Take a look at the reviews and deals here at http://www.barkingdogshoes.com
