Welding Plastic Bags

Being able to "weld" together plastic bags opens them up for all sorts of DIY uses - kites, prom dresses, wallets, etc. This tutorial on instructables shows you how.
"Plastic bags can be welded together with a soldering iron. The resulting seam is strong and water resistant."

Just read about a similar idea here - which is about plastic bag wallets. Its a very cool idea. They designer on that site used an iron and created a "material". Reusing plastic instead of it ending up in a hole in the ground is a much better idea. I hope you're successful with this idea. Does stitching it together make it stronger?
